Best colour lenses for night riding?

I've tried orange (all I had at the time) and found it too dark, clear is the obvious choice but some folk go for pale yellow... What have you lot tried? I need a set for my next night race.

clear will do the obvious job.....i have ridden in yellow too, it makes the most miserable drizzly day on the long mynd look like a mid august afternoon!.....at night i would stick to clear though....

clear for night time, amber/yellow at any other time when there is natural light works for me

Clear at night, orange most of the time, dark if there are no wooded bits and it's guaranteed to be sunny the whole time. So pretty much never

I attended a work training course about vision and coloured lenses this week and the optician running it recommended yellow for night vision so may be worth checking this out with your specs provider!

yeah another mech where i work said he uses yellow for night riding

i cant wear sunnies due to my glasses but i looked through his and would have to say that my sight was most certainly better with the yellow lenses than with no glasses at all

i really couldnt believe it
