which reminds me .... when our youngest was small, he was heavily into Thomas. He knew every engine by name, what they specialised in, which episode etc .. quite geeky really. Anyway, every birthday/christmas he would want something for his Thomas "Road and Rail" collection (which must have cost hundreds if not thousands over the years- literally). So this one christmas he wants an engine called Lady. So I'm going in to see Santa with him at the local school fair and Santa asks the usual question of what he wants for christmas. He simply replies "Lady". Santa looks him in the eye and says "don't we all son, but some of us will have to do without, but good luck anyway". I'm trying as hard as possible to stifle any laughter as the young un is listening intently.
