I engaged in making leather dog collars and stuff..

Don't really do that any more but thought a few pics may be of interest to some..

The problem is that the amount of work (read: time) involved in hand crafted leather goods makes them uneconomical for retail.
If I sold a simple collar for £40, it wouldn't equate to £10/hr.

Fetishwear sells for more but involves more work.. mostly in the finishing..

I gave most of my stuff away or, if I sold it, charged just enough to cover costs..

Just doing another gundog slip for a friend..
 
Handmade leather pistol holsters retail for quite a lot in the USA, as do rifle/shotgun slips in the UK. Several hundred pounds at least for top quality stuff.

Also cartridge belts, boxes, bolt carriers, the list is endless.
