Can't really go wrong with Stronglight. And not just designed to look pretty either.

I have this Headset a Stronglight A9 on my MP project bike as this is what was on it originally but got a replacement as the needle bearings were gone. Very smooth & stylish IMO

For simple function over cosmetics it's hard to beat the Campag Pista

For everything else there is the EDCO Competition

Here's a nice one if you have an Italian fetish

1970s Aluminium F. T. Bologna - Speciali cicli corse. Steel races are pressed in giving it a total weight of around 105 grams.

F. T. Bologna also produced Colnago's headsets and along with OMAS also produced some of Campagnolo's components in the 70s.

This is heading towards my Crowther but I'm undecided about whether to strip off the anodising and polish, it has a few marks. It also has small 3/16th bearings making it fiddly to set up and adjust right :|

Campagnolo Record are lovely, I also like the Mavic 305 and 310 headsets a lot
