If you are like me and wonder what that headset or hub looks like on the inside then you might need these.

I have hundreds of grade 10 bearings in all sizes.
1/8"
5/32"
3/16"
7/32"
1/4"

8p each. If the bill is over £2 I will post for nothing otherwise you will have to add the cost of a second class stamp.

Yes Chrome bearings. I do not have any grade 25 stainless at the moment. Grade 10 should work fine though. The grade mostly refers to the properties listed below. So grade 10 are rounder, smoother and are made to higher dimensional tolerance than grade 25. All chrome balls are made from the same steel SAE 52100 so all should have the smae hardness. Stainless is only used because of its enhanced corrosion resistance. If the bearing are kept greased this shouldn't be a big issue.

Other opinions may vary.

I know they're rounder at grade 10, but it resistance I want. Even with grease dirt and water still gets in, hence every hub I seem to get of 'ere/bay has damaged bearing on one side at least (oddly nearly always drive side on hubs for front and rear) except the one with the stainless in. That damage transfer to the races rendering them useless or slightly pitted.

Anyway, tagged so I know where to get some from as for most purposes these will be more than fine. As I tend to look after my hubs.
