bearing probs!

hi, im currently doin a bit of refurb on one of my bikes, its a 1998 fuji tahoe and i need some new bearings! i have taken the forks off due to there bein a bit of play and a grinding feel when turning the forks, i can now see that the bottom set of bearings on the underside are not there at all!!!!, how do i find out what bearings and cage i need to replace the missing set and also if there would be any newer sealed bearings that could go in there for ease of future maintenance! please forgive me if i have asked any dumb questions as ai am a total noob
also how would i tell what bb would fit?

What make of BB is it?
Not heard of that make of bike. Have you contacted the makers/importers of that brand?

Needle? Ball?

Stronglight does needle bearings.

Balls excist 5/32, 3/16, 7/32 and 1/4 size. You have an old ball of the top part available? Go to a shop and compare it. Put the balls in without cage!
