Bearing press?

Can anyone recommend me a cheap bearing press or something that will do the job? I need to insert some bearings into various areas of a frame I am sorting out for someone but don't really want to add the potentially large cost of a press to the eventual cost of the bike.

I have used a socket set and careful use of a VPA* to press bearings into wheel hubs and also frames.


*VPA = Variable Pressure Applicator**

** = Hammer

There's a a guy sells one on the bay that looks reasonable for a one-off/infrequent use, but I'm no expert on such matters

I made one up using a nice big bolt, nut to fit, and various penny washers- does the job nicely for a grand total of £3.68.
