Right, edited this post in total. I have 2 frames going for the price of postage. They were recovered from a clean up at work and legally disposed of to me. I paid a few quid for them, if you want to repay that it is up to you, but base price is zilch, just postage or collection - I just want rid of them.

Sizes are roughly:

Spesh: centre bb to top of seat tube 18'', top tube c2c 22'' approx.
Marin: centre bb to top of seat tube 20.5'', top tube c2c 22.5'' approx.

More details in the posts that follow (please read as both have problems!!!). Sorry it has taken so long to sort out.

lol, will be putting pics up so someone can tell me! Dibs always welcome, but I am really not sure how good these will be until I pick them up. Chose them from a giant pile in a shed. Paint is original (dark blue I think), size looks medium-ish, has original Spesh-branded fork (prob knackered, but you never know!). Exage looks original (full gruppo anyway) so I would date that at about 92/3 when I had an Exage-equipped KHS, but I am often wrong.

Ted

coolio, first dibs on BV, second on Spesh.

BV frame is in good nick (AFAIK), nothing fitted to it. Has Datatag fitted, but had been abandoned. Not sure how easy they are to remove, but I can provide something from where I work to say that it is not knicked! I would guess around 17/18" but will check tomorrow.

If the spesh fork is Knackered or not wanted and it has a 1" steerer I will have it off whoever gets it! for a fair recompense of course :D

Cheers

Righty then, just picked up the Bear Valley Frame and the Rockhopper (did not get the Marin  ).

Will get these home, strip what is pants and then put pics and details up.

Right then all, finally got around to stripping these and failed spectacularly.

The Rockhopper still has a seized seatpost (followed all Sheldon's advice, got to the hacksawing it out stage and can't be bothered - might have started and damaged the seattube a little through being frustrated  ).

The Bear Valley still has the non-drive side BB seized and I have trashed a perfectly new BB tool trying to get it out.

So, if anyone is good at stuff like this and wants a challenge, they are welcome to them to save me wasting more effort and tools on them!

Just pop a reply on this thread and tell me why you deserve a free frame (with little bit of work needing to be done!!!) and best reasons by a week or so will get the frame of choice for the price of postage (about £10 courier I think). Only restrictions are no selling on, you must want the bike for yourself (clearly the karma fairy will get you if you fib).

Photos later.

.

I'll defo have the Bear Valley if nobody else fancies the challenge. Possibly with a bit of a price adjustment :D.
My mate Neil had one back in the day, he wouldn't even let me have a go on it. I still see him when i go home and it would be nice return the favour :)
