BB help

My crank seems to be making noises all of a sudden especially when I'm putting strain on it say uphill.

Is this the BB poss the bearings? Is this an easy fix? (never done one before)

If it is a cartridge BB then an easy enough job (if the old one comes out OK) but you'll need to buy the tool. If it isn't something you plan doing often it's probably just as cheap getting it done in a shop.

Replacing a bb is not hard.....identifying the true origin of noises when pedalling, a whole different subject!....take the cranks off, and spin the axle with your fingers, you will instantly feel any problem there.....

Remember to check your pedals, many a BB has been changed only to discover its the pedal bearings

hi ya signal, i have the tools if you need a hand.

have a few bbs too in various sizes, only un54s , i do have some XT but i like to hoard em

lol, looks like a visit is in order then to Charlie's one stop O'shop as usual.

The cranks go fine they just creak a bit when you put pressure on them.
Give me a reason to bring it around as well for you to have a look at.
