I think you have hit the nail on the head. Most people on here are after a bargain and only stuff that is reasonably priced or going cheap will sell, that's in no way to say what you are selling is not worth what you are asking. Also, In my years on the forum I can't recall too many occasions when I have seen something sell for £1000+. Perhaps eBay would give you the best chance?
