Bakewell cycle jumble

I was there (as a buyer) and thought there was a good spread of sellers and the prices were very fair.
Bought a few bits that I actually needed but, unusually, resisted buying anything that I didn't have an immediate use for - I think a lot of bike builders/restorers/fiddlers are thinking along the same lines and hanging onto the pennies.
I hope the market picks up a bit or great events like this will fade away.

Had a great day starting with a nice early coffee overlooking the river in Matlock Bath before going on to Bakewell. And what a great event. Outside it was still dry with some great Bikes on offer, Parts stalls, with one happy-chappy selling Cycle parts & Wine, Brilliant ! .Inside there were a very good mix of stuff to suit all I thought, I bagged a few bargains, had a nice chat to many, briefly spoke to a nice lady who shared my passion for great hats. The event really did deserve a bigger attendance to be fair, maybe the weather put people off as it started to chuck it down around midday. But undeterred I was determined while travelling over there that I was going to hit the Monsal trail as I had my bike on the back of the car, so on went the bright yellow rain suit & with hood up I just about had the trail to myself, On the way back down the trail I was informed by a group of kids on the viaduct ………”Oi mister…..you look like Captain Birdseye” ….must be the grey beard & so ended a great day out. Looking forward to the next event.
