What length b/b do I need for a deore DX crankset.

All depends on what the frame is, as what's right for one won't necessarily be right for another, owing to different chainstay clearance requirements.
Also you need to be able to achieve a decent chainline - normally aim for 50mm from middle ring to centreline of frame.

on my specialized stumpjumper a bb with an axlelength of 122,5mm was installed for the deore dx cranks. but as andy already said its depending on the frame too.

The crankset is going on a 96 parkpre 825pro
I've got a 122.5 royce b/b which is hopefully long enough.
