Avid shorty thoughts ?

Has anyone experience of avid shorty cantilever brakes ?

Planning on putting STI's and drop bars on my Univega and changing the v's for cantilevers and want something different than entry level shimano's

Any other recommendations within a modest budget ?

I have them on my 'cross bike. They work, well, like cantilever brakes. They are easy to set up.

Would I buy them again? Yes. Absolutely.

yeah, I had them on a 94 Kula and they were great. Also have the ultimates on my singlespeed 96 Kila, and I love those.
