Avid arch rivals v brakes

Yes, excellent brakes in my experience. I have a set on my '95 Kilauea but I'm going to fit a disc brake on the front, only because on the long, dirt road descents that you get in the Greek mountains (where the Kilauea lives) the rim gets so hot that on more than one occasion the front tyre has been able to creep round on the rim and rip the valve out of the tube

thinking about some for a 96/97 Zaskar build so these might suit well ?

they add a lovely high-tech-but-old-skool look to any bike imho.

I've got a set of these on my Muddy Fox and they are very powerful and simple to set up. Agreed they look nice and techy too 8)

theres a set on the bay , photo below cant quite make out if those cable clamp bolts look managled ??
