I've been looking for a set of these for a while.I had a pair bitd, then wrecked the rear, put the front on another frame and promptly sold it.

I'd love to get another set on 317's,but its something i never see,
if i could find a set i could replace the racelites on my bike ,finally giving me a complete XT m739 groupo[+i could probably fit the rc30's too,i cant as radial spokes wont fit in the pace due to that style of dropout]

Are they still about :? Has anybody recently seen a pair for sale :? Do you have a set tucked away :?

Was there a 739 hub ?

I can see FH-737 and FH-738
and HB-737 and HB-738
both with various letter at the end ... but no 739 ?

No 739 for hubs, I think that was just a makeover for drivetrain stuff?

I thought 737 hubs were pretty common TBH, I sold a set on 217 ceramic rims for peanuts last year because nobody wanted such 'plain' hubs - the same wheels with Hope hubs would be three times the price (but then you do get that lovely clicky Hope freehub I guess  ).

I would have thought a wanted ad would yield some pretty quickly. There were even plenty of NOS ones on eBay.com not too long ago. FWIW I think they're excellant hubs with very good seals, reasonably stiff too, just not particularly 'retro' or cool.

737/8 hubs were the match for the 739 groupset. They looked like this:
