had a look at my numerous other seatposts and i can confirm that the size/length etching on it matches and is consistent in text type, size and formatting with ones that have it marked horizontally. so i'm good with saying it's authentic. 
FC, yeah looks to be that style/model of seatpost as it doesn't have the holes at the bottom of the post.
