well being fresh off the boat from the UK in '99 the local minge was gagging for some new blood, so being a fine upstanding bloke I obliged. I also boffed my bosses daughter, I was out of control, but then again there's scant all to do in Canberra so banging my way through most of the right honourable members for parliaments secretary's seemed the only cause of action, plus it helped with Anglo Aussie relations... The aussie gash is no match for a bit of english totty though in the filth stakes!

So far we have the 'points' to get into the country, and a migration agent says a permanent residence is pretty much guaranteed.

We're giving it some thought regarding distance from UK, for family. The distance from anywhere else regarding holidays. Just how behind is Aus. 100mbps Fibre Broadband would be OK. House prices seem on par, yet their houses tand to look like prefabs.

BTW, no one's mentioned (r)Alelaide. It's like Melbourne... but not. Definitely not.

Being a foreigner I can provide the outsider's perspective, minus the comparison to the UK (thankfully). I've been to all the major centres except for Perth & Darwin & can honestly say that Melbourne is the place for me!
