Okay, I'm looking at buying a motor, since it will be my first one in nearly Four Years, I thought I'd go large..

So..

Have found an Audi RS4 Avant and wanted to hear the opinions of any owners, past and present, of this Beast..

I knw it'll cost a bit of moolah to run but wanted to know about reliability, drive etc. Basically, is it worth the outlay :?: I'm hoping to hang on to this for a fair few years.. Ideally I'd like to not have to buy another car..

do it now
before there banned!!!!!

yes will cost plenty to run (fun aint cheap!!!)
but can be tuned to silly porsche killing numbers and down a b road will make a m3 look silly (unless its got a proper driver in it   )

top build qualty and subtle too

bit of a package really 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)

From my experience of Audis. (A6 Avant)

Pros:
Well built and made.
Main dealer servicing isn't too bad even on a cam belt change (were the cheapest by about £300)
Excellent handling and ride -firm but comfortable - even the missus A6 is chuckable and handles well for such a large motor.
Decent load space

Cons are:
Thirst (i'd be getting a 2.7 tdi if i were to buy again) 30 mpg on a long motorway journey - high teens around town.
They consume a lot of oil, about a litre every thousand miles - this is normal.

Along with the r8 they are the best car Audi ever made IMO......needless flat bit on steering wheel but that's small change......the best way ever to scare a Labrador!......

Cheers for the responses Amigos 8)

Just spoken to the vending Dealer; it's had 3 Previous Owners [most recent had it for one month and then decided he couldn't afford to run it] and would cost me Half a Bag o' Sand thru Financing a month.. Need to check whether an Insurance Co would even grant me cover [On Street Parking in London].. I have a feeling it might be Financially unviable

The Financing alone seems a bit steep; £27K cost with £5K Deposit would work out that £22K of Financing would cost me £30K..

£500pcm + Insurance + Fuel + Servicing = £1000+- a month on aggregate..?

dribble slurp grin sigh dribble more!!

The only thing better would be an RS2 avant.
