Asthma , SSP and being for to work

Home, 0% pay for the foreseeable

At home, no pay as I don't "work". I do get a bursary ;-), but that stops at some point. Going to be a bugger getting a job while nothing is open..

The local doctors surgery listened to my job description and a doctor called me back. He has said that given my medical history, I shouldn't be out and has signed me off for at least two months

As I only went freelance in May of last year, I obviously haven’t been able to file a return so obviously there’s nothing to base a claim on so as I suspected 0%..... ah well time to tighten the old belt....

Looks like I may be going back to work next week.

Theres a company statement due tomorrow, do they presume to know more than the Government?

Re:

Didn’t think anything had been announced yet. And it seems that we will continue as we are for a few more weeks from what I’ve seen

What industry are you in? Is there a way that you are going back to work but working safely away from others ?

I’m hoping that I remain furloughed for a short while longer until it’s passed the peak a bit more. I’m not happy about the financial side but health is more important.

Re:

I've been furloughed since 30th March until at least the end of this week.

I've got to phone the boss on Thursday to see where we go from here, I can see me being off for a while longer though because the one main customer has ceased building and cancelled all orders from May onwards.

A few were back at work today.

And the recession will see most companies strugle to stay alive over the next year or so.
