Asthma , SSP and being for to work

Re:

Came clean and told the boss today about my asthma. He's happy for me to carry on for now.

I suspect things could change after Boris has been on in half an hour.

Re:

Not for me yet.

Told to come to work tomorrow but if I’m uncomfortable being at work because of my asthma I can go home -unpaid.

Hoping for them to get closed so I can be paid something at least and also be safe at home.

Re:

Still at work making stuff for arsehole customers ( who I won't name) so it can sit on their shelves.

It's a f***in' joke, wish they'd just shut up shop so I can lockdown with the family.

Not sure what you do but if your company has anything to do with hardware then they can stay running. A friends boss is keeping his company going because they have hardware in their title.

We're an engineering company that make all sorts of pressings, laser cut parts, u- bolts, the list goes on.

My issue is that we're probably just making stuff that isn't likely going to be put to use at any time during this lockdown period.

We're working at safe distances from each other but who knows the real risks, this Coronavirus is hardly an exact science yet.

Sounds like your boss is deciding to keep the buisness running. Im not sure if he will be covered for losses as he is probably on the list of companies that can stay open, for now.

He's just looking down the general list of businesses that can stay open and those that can't.

It's purely down to customer demand and probably our main two are staying open. One seems to be stockpiling and the other one is building stuff that no one is going to buy at the moment.

Edit: Big expensive, specialist stuff that no one is going to buy at the moment.
