Nice find. It's a 1994, not a 92.

That's the original saddle (hard to find, I tried three different times in the past two years to win one off ebay, but always lost as the price went over $40- I had a budget to keep).

Too bad about the stem and handlebar, as the originals have a nice satin finish to match the seatpost. The tyres have to go; umma gummas would work nicely :)

Then, all you would need are a set of black pedals with cages/clips, and it will be all original. I have a spare original handlebar if the owner still doesn't have it, and the new owner wants it.

Not happy! Why don't people let auctions run to the end anymore! He changed it to "buy it now" for someone for 125! I was willing to pay up to 150 for it.

bah rant over 8)

I was watching it too :( .

Still have to confess that I have adopted the 'if you can't beat em' attitude myself in many cases and I have contacted sellers to ask them if they are willing to do a deal or let the auction run. I am always happy to hear that they will let the auction run but it's a good way to guage the sellers intentions. If they are likely to do a deal then best to get in there first rather than someone else. Sad but true

Still hope someone on here got it and will start a thread for it without fear of being flamed :D

Hi Guy's, i am the person who has aquired this bike. I havnt done anything wrong as i to was "watchin" this bike and thought id have a look at the listing about 4pm and he had put a £125 bin on it and i decided to take a punt on it! Ive just picked it up now, bout a 20 mile round trip and am totally gobsmacked at it's condition! It is mint. Asked him if he had the old bar's and stem but they have long gone. I'll pop some pic's in reader's bike's soon, not to rub any salt in wound's, just to share the bike with you all. At least it's gone to a fellow retrobiker. Good luck to you all with your future purchase's. Regard's Dave. :D

Good work fella, I have the exact same one, same size too, its a class bike. I'm swapping the bars and stem on mine shortly if you're interested in getting the orignal look.

Pleased for you, really!

It's good someone on here got it i must say.

On an aside, I always put a note in my auction that it will run to the end and no ending early, i guess in this instance he decided he wanted to sell it quicker, or he could have put the BIN for someone else and he was too slow

Now get some proper photos up so i can see what i missed out on!
