Are we popular enough to have make specific forums?

Open question really...

Is there enough traffic to warrant sub-dividing the Retro MTB Chat Forum into makes?

Perhaps:

- General Chat/Anything Other Makes
- Klein
- Pace
- Kona
- Orange
- etc etc

Each forum could then have a few stickies for popular questions, like when is a Klein a Trek? or What year is my Kona?

It just seems that a lot of the same questions crop up repeatedly (and sometimes within a few posts of each other ), although this may not be the answer... :D

Interesting point. I think currently no is the answer through.

That said the point you make about having a sort of 'super FAQ' for all the common questions is certainly a good 'un.

retrobikewiki please :D
...or better not. would possibly spend toooo much time there

IMHO the forum is fine as it is. Admittedly the forum pages can get busy, but I think it's clear and easy to navigate 8)

Only one eeny weeny change would maybe be a 'for sale' section split, sometimes moves too fast, with mega listings and bumps. Maybe drive train/contact points/bling/modern etc.

Doesn't really matter to me as when i log in it goes straight to the "View posts since last visit" so half the time i dont even know what section i'm reading anyway. 8)
