I haven't ridden one so can't comment on the captin pugwash handling, however a friend of mine bought one before xmas the one with no paint, and after 2 weeks of riding found the BB was loose. After a refit the lbs found rust in there
Personally, i would be a bit worried.

I put some On One Mary bars on my hack in Jan, the 'chrome' steel ones that are just painted silver and they are already rusting through the paint.

Interesting thread. I was itching to buy a Pompino F+F to replace my current bone-shaking but very fast Revolution Courier.

I just love the idea behind it being a nice fast hybrid for MTBers and roadies alike as i don't do roadie drops even though I'm city blasting daily. Sounds like the perfect street machine... either that or a much more expensive Surly.

As for the inbreds, I'm not sure, when I rebuild my modern, I want something special thats magical to ride that can handle anything, so dunno, specially after this thread... hmm

Shock horror! I hate On Ones but today found myself on their website making a purchase

After reading some good reviews on the 2010 Magura Thor fork I decided to replace the frankly pants DT Swiss XMC130 on my Cotic. I looked at CRC, Winstanleys and all the other usual online sites and the prices ranged from a rather hefty £610 to a eye watering £689. Then I did a quick google search and found them in On Ones online shop for just £399 8)

How do they do it?? I still think the frames are crap but you have to like the prices for the kit they sell to go with them.

I took my freshly built sliding dropout inbred for it's maiden ride on sunday. My gear choice let it down but i found it to ride really well. This is possibly because i'm only used to low end bikes. The 'best' bike i've ridden is my khs pro. It rides as good as that but couldn't compare it to a yo or an indy fab or cotic. Actually it rides very similar to my airborne lancaster.
