I need a cheap set of bouncy forks & there's a set of these ending soon but i know nothing about them. Are they any good?

I've got a set of these. fairly weighty and fairly stiff. not really any adjustment to speak of (the nob it has makes no discernable difference maxed out one direction or the other).

that being said, they haven't been serviced and they're coming up for 6 or 7 years old

they're ok-ish. what sort of money are they going to go for? if they're cheap, they'd get you going til you found something better.

They're on the Bay & at just over a fiver with a day and a bit to go.
Also i'm around 15/16 stone if that makes any difference

Mine too, I had some TT's a couple of years ago, as they were, with my weight (15+ stone) on them I would liken them to pogo sticks, but I never tried serviceing them or anything, they weren't leaking so i'm thinking the pogo action may have been because they had no oil in them :?

If they stay cheap enough could well be worth a punt

EDIT: Just had a look on ebay, I think I found what your looking at, in that condition if they stay cheap, I don't think you can go wrong 8) HEAVY though

as much as a fiver! definitely worth a punt to get you going.

I'm 11.5 stone, so they probably will yield a little better to you ;)

They're cheap, they're heavy, but they work and they're reliable (more so than forks with more sophisticated internals).

If that's what you're after, then buy them :). My girlfriend had a set on her Kona and they were absolutely fine and didn't cause a single problem in the whole time we had them.
