Are Brodies recyclable? **UPDATED**

Re: Are Brodies recyclable?

I'm glad I didn't find that. I would have died from a heart attack right on the spot.

Re:

That's some find! Am I right in thinking that the streets of BC are paved in old Brodies, Rocky's and the like?

Grafton Joy Stick cranks.
I may be interested in the driveside, what's it like?!

Driveside is decent, going to try and source a non driveside and put it back together.

Haha ... Its amazing what you find. This was in a Kijiji Ad. I believe it was an ad for a lawnmower and some old bike frame.

These really are the most fun builds. Take something totally unloved and make it kicka$$ again! Enjoy!

Wow!! Exceptional work here. Is the frame painted? Where did you find decals for it?

That frame (and stem, fork, and cranks) was powder coated by Quys Coating in Toronto. He does really nice work especially single colour stuff. Of course, there is Toxic Harrold out west who does amazing stuff as well.

RockyMtn has perfect decals for these. I'm surprised he hasn't chimed in here. You can contact him for those.

Not sure what shape your frame is in rust and dent wise, but you'll prob want to redo it and get it blasted to kill those rust worms. Lots of work, but worth it IMO.

Re: Are Brodies recyclable?

Hey guys

I was just about to go for my evening ride, got old faithful out, my Brodie, and just wanted to swap in some new hoops I'd scored for her off retro bike

Anyways dropped the old wheels out and left the bike by my recycling bin, went back to the garage and grabbed the nice new mavics, but by the time I got back to my bike she was gone!

Some light fingered retro dude swept in there and all I could see was a distant pair of taillights and someone flipping me the bird.....
