I have some RM25's.....

Me too, fantastic rims for bikes from the eighties.

Are they too vintage for a bike from 1993?

RM25 are to vintage, but RM20 with the green/yellow decal are good rims for 1993. Take a look at mombat timeline from 1993:

The 1993 Catalogue is in the archive link I gave.
If it was a top end bike the 395 or 400.
mid range the RM-20 /17

I prefer Araya rims to most, especially from that time.

I've got original Arayas on my 94 Marin - no corrosion or any other problems yet. Another make from that era is Wolber
