anyone running cable disks?

hi. just after ideas of good low price cable disks. iam i right thimking the avid ones are good. i want to spend pennys on them so please let me know about good ones to keep my eyes open for. thanks

Avid BB7 are fantastic, BB5 are great too but don't offer the same level of adjustment....

I still dont understand why cable pull have only one side moving. One would think you could have both sides actuate :?

Anyone know the reason only one pad moves ?

Never tried them, been hydraulic since 1997 But the above bb5 and 7's seem to be rated the best.

alot of cars ect only have one side. its just cheaper an easyer. would be good if they did say a xtr double sided type cable but bet it would cost more than hydrolics

I have a mate who regularly rides hydraulics take a ride on my BB7's and he said they have far more modulation and feel rather than just on/off like his

I have a pair of BB7's on my fat bike, they are fine, nothing special though. If I was to fit again I'd go for some Shimano Deores or SLX (Hydraulic).

nothing wrong. they need bleeding . just fancy cables as iam sure like above they could be setup to work well. ive got low end shimanos on another an there realy good. rear disk has warped an feel a tad on an off. the bike that am thinking of cables for would be a jump bike / somthing for mrs to kick about on so was thinking might be better incase it gets droped to
