the tubes are threaded and bonded
the forks aluminium
the frames were made by ALAN an italian company famous for
road and cyclo-cross bikes
its early 90's or late 80's but i can't find out much about them
hope the wise folk on here would know

My guess would be '93 based on the overall bike as a package.

I had my one of these in 93/94 to about 96 when i was force to sell it, its the bike i would love to get again and am so envious of you for having this bike, my one was a full DX groupset on it the only thing i cant remember on it was what rims was on the wheels.
I didnt buy it brand new so cant guarentee that the date i bought was the date it was manufactured but when i bought it it was in excellent condition with very little use, at first i to thought this was a british eagle carbon pro and was sold it as a prototype bike but after years of researching i to found it was an ALAN.
I bought my one from a fella in Southport and old Bike warehouse sold some nice bikes i was paying off a new Univega at the time and when i seen this i changed my mind ending up selling for a lot less to a place called Alladins Cave in Liverpool went in to try and buy it back a week or so later only to find he had sold it on not long after i brought it in was gutted to say the least.
Anyway looks good
