Anyone know how to make RC36 Pro class have longer travel?

I seem to believe that the Pace RC36 Pro class forks were able to have their travel extended. Something to do with reversing a top hat inside them (sounds like a magic trick)?!

I have used the standard Pace RC36's since 1997 and to my knowledge they are slightly different inside from their Gold Ti nitride coated expensive brothers. I am upgrading to pro class and wondered if I can alter them before fitting.

Is this mumbo jumbo, or real?

Can anyone shed some light on this please?

Not sure if this is what you mean...

Pro Class were supplied as std. with 100mm of travel.

You could reduce this to 80mm by removing the mid-range springs and adjusting the limit on the "skewer".

The Proclass Evos can be run at (I think), 65mm and 90mm travel. To get the extra 25mm, there was an additional spring and plastic spacer included with the fork.

If you don't have them, try Tim (justbackdated) he might be able to help you out.
