Anyone know about scott bikes

The company was founded in 1958 by American skier named Ed Scott to make aluminum ski poles. In the 70s they began making motocross products, made their first bike, a mountain bike, in 86. Big innovation in 1989 was the aero bar Greg lemond used in his TdF win. Some time in the 2000s the company moved from USA to Switzerland, name changed from Scott USA to Scott Sports in 2005. Of note, they also bought up the Syncros brand in 2012

Scott bought also Hooger Booger already in 1989, mainly to get into snowboard business.
The brand was kept for a few years, changed to just Hooger in 94, Hooger Bikes had been stopped a bit later and Snowboards sold under Scott brand then.

Scott Racing Series up until '96 or so is worth to get. From COMP/TEAM/PRO, they were pretty fine steel machines, if the geometry was a bit weird on the bigger sizes.

Fastback style seatstay joint on some PROs were similar of Ritchey of the period. Being uncollectable they can be your bargain top-spec race edition for a few bucks.

Some of them from my stash:
