Anyone into classic furniture

That's what is great about mid century furniture, it was made to be utilized. I have resisted a living area picture because of the "lived in" quality. Half of the hutch is covered with old birthday cards, the other with Lego and books

Totally with you. Personally find that the "utilised" then gets divided again; what is built for individual use (typically a bit more refined and ornate) vs what is for intensive use (just simply up to task, little frills). I see this over and over again at the second shop, and it applies to so much. I see furniture - particularly wooden being the son of a carpenter - so incredibly well crafted, slaved over even, and well built going for next to nothing. I also see varying grades of the quality of screws and the ability to maintain. I have a bread knife with a wooden handle and stamped stainless steel (INOX) - it must be about 60 years old and never ever sharpened because it is practically impossible to sharpen but it just goes through crusty bread as intended (I scream at visitors who decide to use it for anything else).

Compare that with a new stainless steel colander from Lidl - rusty bottom after 8 months. :(

I have a few copies of various MCM chairs including the Marcel Breuer Wassily chair famously inspired by the design of bicycle tubing.
I also have a copy of the Bertoia diamond chair and a rather nice photo of it with a superfluous naked model obscuring the full view of the chair so it's not really of any interest to show here. :D
