I wouldn't be surprised if this turned out to be another Holdsworthy product, like one of the late '70s-'80s 'Claud Butler' touring bikes, but badged as Gillott. The number, and it's position, would support that interpretation, but it would make the bike later than '85.

I thougt that Holdsworths rebadged as Gillott were my era which was the 70's? The 531 decal is after my bike shop days though....
