anyone a suntour micro drive expert ?

I've got xc-comp micro drive on my orange alu elite, which I want to keep (although bits seem to be a bugger to get hold of)...

Got a few questions......

I need jockey wheels, bottom bracket, and a chain

1. chain - does this have to be micro drive specific?
2. jockey wheels - same question - md specific?
3. bottom bracket - suggestions for a light (shimano?) one?

You should be able to use a Sram 8 speed chain for your 8 spd MD, (or a 7 for a 7.) BITD my buddies and I were all on a Suntour kick and Sachs (now SRAM) stuff was the choice for chains. The Sachs 'PC' chains are still sold as Sram labled stuff.

I'm running an Suntour XC PRO microdrive on my Aluminium "O".
With this I'm running a shimano UN54 b/b (68mm shell x 122mm axle )from wiggle and an HG70 7spd chain. The rear mech is a Mavic 840 with standard jockeys wheels.

I've had no problems with this set up, especially fitting the b/b... which was far easier using a new item rather than a worn one that is period correct. .... hope this helps
