Any old paintball farts here too?

The fitness regime has started and I had an old paintball bud contact me last night..must be over ..well many years ago

so it got me thinking about playing again so I just wondered if anyone had played paintball back in the day before it all went electronic?

Played paintball against te RAF regiment once, our MFT instructors they were miffed we didn't play fair whilst they were arrow heading through the paintball forest we were doing guerilla attacks. That was when it dawned on me all what we were learning in MFT was complete crap when one is faced with guerilla warfare which is the majority of warfare now as gone are the days of pitched armies facing one another.

They should have called in airsupport, that would have put an end to your antics.

Ooo, a paint ball Avenger Gatling gun that would be scary as would a paintball cluster bomb, but I fear gone would be anything growing and green.

But air support has to get off the ground first, difficult when it is flight line mechanics playing against the pebble monkeys.

But I understand what you mean regards travel, stuff I used to do, travelling between Oxford and Harrogate every weekend in a '77 bay window camper became a bit wearing after a hard week at work.

The travel can be a killer I know and yes most of the tourneys were and still are south bound

Not only time wise but an average tourney day would normnally be 150-200 quid each plus travel then you have to leave so early your shagged or stay at a hotel then extra..and that's only after you have bought all the top kit.

I stopped playing tourneys when the semi autos came in ..I felt it ruined the fun so went back to pump only local fun days before giving it in
