Any getting new the Xbox One or Ps4?

You lot that debate about specs and ps4 is better than xbox1. That does not matter, quality of the games, ease of use and added value are what count. Hence why the xbox "wins" for the general public.

It doesn't though.

It really doesn't. Preorder figures are heavily tilted to the PS4. Everything from the announcement onward has been a huge fiasco. Originally they were going to make it so you couldn't even borrow games off your mates, until the backlash forced them to change it.

And now the review embargo has lifted, we're seeing it's got big technical problems too:

Low 20s framerates, in a game that looks like a game on the old xbox. This is embarrassing.

So the quality is worse, they wanted to make it hard to use, and it costs more but is made of worse parts, so the value is knackered too.

Best, I think, to not buy any new games console. All three of them are crap.

Pre order figures are enthusiast, not general public.

If MS gets xbox up and running with decent family orientated games it'll get into the house, sell content and play nice with proper computers and phones.

PS4 is still seen as the enthusiasts console, something I think is an old model. It needs to soften its image.

Phones have taken a big bite of the pick up and play though.

Nintendo left it too late to jump on the Wii bandwagon and have locked themselves into nintendo wiiu system rather than integrate it with the Wii/DS family and open up the pad. Plus it needs to be in the 100\150 quid braket for it to become consumable. It is too much of a standalone product.

Of course I cannot talk for Asian markets.

But I agree at the moment buy none.

I'd get the PS4 if any but think it's unlikely as my PS3 gets very little use these days. Don't have time for games anymore so I used to use the PS3 as a media centre but the new Sky HD box has taken over those duties so the PS3 sits there looking sad. I'll be keeping it though as it's one of the early ones that plays PS1 + 2 games so it's great for a cheeky bit of Worms of Sonic.

Does the PS4 play 1,2,3 games?

Wouldn't get an XBox after finding out they charge you to go online!! I was also confused by the whole 360, One etc stuff. Why call it that? I thought XBox One was either a new name for the 360 or some operating system until my mate told me otherwise.

PS4. I would never buy any thing to do with Microsoft. I wish the console machines would have more games like on computers.

the new ps4 is also charging to go online !! but apparently with loads of added benefits :roll: like free games etc
