could be some toxic fumes from the canal - i smell a conspiracy/government testing facility dumping chemicals in the canal....

Sounds weird... what was the light like yesterday? There's one place I hate cycling past as the road surface is bad and there are large trees which cast a moving shadow over it, makes me extremely dizzy every time...

The only other place I've ever really felt anything like that is leaving some supermarkets where they have those channels on the road which are designed to stop trolleys - they seem to overload my visual processing somehow!

I can almost recreate it manually or something very similar, just after this patch there is a short tunnel but is very dark (only the natural lights at both ends)

as I'm wearing my Oakleys there is a small bit in the middle where for a 2 seconds lapse I have no visual reference apart from the light at the end of the tunnel.

During this 2 second bit my balance goes to shit and it feels like for a small period of time I'm floating. Then when i can start to see the floor etc my balance returns.

As you said you had been to the docs and ha said that all was well
im sure everything is ok ...but as you have just said that this could maby
related to you sight.... it would be worth getting your eyesight checked out ?? could be related to the dizzy spells, and if you do get a sight test go to a decent optician or eye department at your nearest hospital
