It's awesome finding something's provenance especially when it's as interesting as this....

So am I safe saying Time Team's cool as fook in this thread...?
 
I have several other spectacular finds that I will post up over a few weeks to keep the more intelectual among you happy 8)
 
Oh we're not intelectual, we just want you to have lots of money so you can spend it here on our old shite. :)
 
Keep your eyes out for the sword that recently was sold at a national auction house that I managed to track down as a presentation sword that was given to Nelson by the sailor prince :wink:

And a regency pop up book that had all the paper dolls still inside it after 200 years and was the first interactive book and the first english edition of cinderella :wink:

and many more,My particular period of expertise is 1770-1830 some of the most important historical events took place in this period and much stuff is still lost :wink: if you know were to look it can be found 8)

Also a doctors watch that belonged to a doctor on a ship at trafalgar,and a 17th century pocket watch that was made by an apprentice of Thomas tompion and william dent :shock: All amazing and all found in the last ten years :shock: 8) Stay tuned for next weels exciting episode :wink: Of lovejoy get's tough :lol:
 
This stuff is so very interesting.. . and I ain't taking the piddle..


And I like swords.

Even more so if they are sticking out of the torso of people on my hate list :lol:
