[another] ...Girvin vector carbon

Heavy hitting at the start can take out some casual watchers. If its not on my list it isn't in my mind. For instance if this was sitting at £1 I'd add it to my watch list, over the 5 days or so remaining I'd conceivably convince myself I needed these for build X. So if I really wanted these I'd push the price up a bit take out a few competitors and weigh in at the end.

Makes sense I spose, I've just always enjoyed sniping at the end of a bidding war. "Hi guys! Oh, I'll take this, byee!".

Yeah.

I'm pushing the price up for shits and giggles (I believe the technical term is 'shilling'). Oh what fun we have eh? Let's see how much patience everyone has.

I'll often place a speculative bid with a few days to go - it flushes out anyone else who might be interested and gives you an indicator of the price people might want to pay. Also if I know I'm going to be at work or away when the auction finishes I'll put in a bid, and occasionally I've won it when I check back :)

A dumb idea, other people on this site may be bidding and that shit just comes back to haunt you. Karma as they say...

Nah I was just putting a legit bid on really, but they've gone over what I'd pay now; looks like someone really does want them for their STS!
