Rusty EWR.....who cares, it's not like its a rusty FAT

This is a nice Bill Grove frame, 2nd Production run, 6th frame in batch, July, 1994...

I think we are seeing these things on eBay testing the waters. They are not standard bikes by any means, and in this economy I wonder if more and more folks are justt fishing for cash liquidity any way they can get it. If I were a cyclists strapped for cash and needing to keep only one bike out of my collection, one bike to do everything, I'm not so sure it would be an EWR. (OK, it would probably be the white...but I'm nutty! ) Lets face it..they are all over the web right now...here, MTBR, my blog, Neill's blog, their own webpage...everywhere. People tend to list things on eBay that they think they can make a load of money on and set reserves accordingly.

I'm watching all three EWR auctions, and so far nobody has sold anything. Of the three, they all have warts in my opinion. The small has been well used, repainted, and well used again, the black has been modernized...and I'm not so sure that's an improvement for an early OWB, and this last one is pretty well worn also, and with the parts list, I'd bet that he's got a high reserve.

All that said, it is wild to see three EWRs on eBay all at once...certainly a rare occurance for a brand that only pumped out a few hundred frames over 10 years ago. 8)
