I sold a pair of bombers on the 14th of march, posted them on the seventeenth, first class recorded, the buyer still hasnt received them......

I check the tracking and they are still with the royal snail......

I provide the tracking no to the buyer and he says he doesnt want them now as he has bought another pair, and he has them already.......

I tell him,Well sorry mate.......That isnt really my problem, you knew you had purchased these when you bought another pair the decision to buy more was yours and not mine.

He says he wants a refund as he is sick of people like me not sending things out when they say they will.......b ullsh*t.....I set them in the specified timescale,he has opened a case as item not received and wants a refund,I have told him to go whistle.......tosser :x

Ebay will probo find in my favour on this but it still annoys me as I am bound to get negative feedback from the a.hole
Well you may get negged - not much you can really do about that.

But if you've got proof of postage, and you've used recorded - that all strengthens your case - keep the emails from him that show he's effectively changed his mind, and they may not rule against you.

It's not like they've "disappeared" in the mail.

You've got the money, it would appear they are available in the mail system, I didn't think ebay's policy was all about allowing a change of heart, once paid-up and dispatched.

Available in the mail system? What's that supposed to mean? The buyer paid for them to be delivered, and it's up to Marin man to get them to him. It's a bit early to be opening disputes, but if MM thinks his job's done by sticking them in the post and leaving it up to the buyer to find them, he deserves the negative, TBH.

wow someone didn't get any last night     relax fella you'll live longer

if you look here "I sold a pair of bombers on the 14th of march, posted them on the seventeenth, first class recorded, the buyer still hasnt received them......

you will see marin man had tracked them down showed the ebayer where they were in royal mail system but from the looks of it the seller is a prick and just wants his cash back as he's changed his mind

you'd think after only 5 days in the postal system the guy would not panic and demand a refund and just wait unless hes just tring to play the system for his monay back what a doosh.

You're right, I didn't!
I also said it's a bit early, but , five days in the mail system, sent first class, is far too long and is actually classified by the post office as "lost".

I mean probably at either the buyer's local collection office, quite possibly after an attempted delivery.

That's hardly fair, really.

He's sent them recorded, and he knows (through email) that the buyer no longer wants them - the buyer has said so. It's quite possible - probable, even, that the buyer has already had an attempted delivery, and been carded.

Don't get me wrong, I get that it's a seller's responsiblity for the items to get to the buyer - but when the buyer has already said he now doesn't want it marin man sounds like he's done all he can as a seller, and for all we know, the buyer could be refusing delivery, or not collecting after being carded - that's hardly marin man's fault - and all of this, sounds like the seller has changed his mind, late in the day, and wants a refund because he's bought something else.

I hardly see how marin man deserves negative feedback, because a buyer has changed his mind, bought something else, and now doesn't want what he paid for.
