Another e-stay Overburys surfaces

Re:

I had a quiet day with work today, so jumped in the car and 6 hours later returned with this....

I could have had gravymonster collect this for me, as he's staying at mine this weekend for a Purbecks ride, but I really wanted to meet the owner.
I didn't ever think he'd sell it too me once I'd asked at the start of our correspondence, so I wanted to thank him face to face and have a chat about the bike.
He also had some parts that he wanted to sell along with it so a trip down made sense.
The owner, Kelvin, is a really nice bloke and we chatted for 45 mins about the bike, other bikes, bits of bikes etc.
We did a deal on the other bits he had there (he has a nice pair of RC35's in his loft if anyone needs a pair?), I parted with the cash and left a very happy man.

The frame itself is in amazing condition. The paint is still really glossy and the only slight damage is on a couple of the decals.
It really looks like it's hardly been used!
The only things I need to find for this are a 26.8mm seatpost, a replacement for the Zoom stem and some bars.
It currently has different coloured XT cantis front and rear, so I'll replace the black with silver too.
I honestly can't believe it's sat here in my lounge :D

Re:

Looks fantastic mate...well done. Well worth the 6 hour drive - and then some. Think I would have gone anywhere for that...

You've got a real gem there - can't wait to see it built up. Paint looks amazing. I would consider getting a stem done to match.

I'd be interested in the 35's if they were 1" threaded and had the rocker? :)

Re:

Very very cool, there can't be many of those about.

How about a DX post, I know the rest is XT but a silver post would look great and they do 26.8. There have been a few NOS ones on ebay lately.

Re:

I much prefer the curved forks myself.
I had a DX post on my 1990 Pioneer so will be keeping my eyes peeled for another one, or an XT.
I'm un-decided on what stem to go for yet, so this will effect the post choice.
The plan is to run it 7 speed Chris, but I need to have a chat with you on Saturday about that as I need a 130mm spindle.
No chance for Saturday Mat. Too many bits needed that I haven't got in the shed.
I want to take my time with this anyway, and get it exactly how I want it :D
