Durex, whilst being an unfortunate name was their version of a hardened coating - I have never seen an MTB version though, pretty cool.

Nice to see another set of these rims.

I have the same rims laced with Suntour XCD hubs, late 80's I assume. They came on a unknown lugged bike with full XCD, Taiwanese made bike I think, it has a LungI fork.

In any case I really like the look and haven't found much info on these rims.

Just wanted to add that your rims appear to have grooved or machined sidewalls whereas mine are smooth.

I would like to find more information on these rims as well.

I was considering a NOS set of these for my Italian-build Scapin, but they were too expensive. The colour wouldn't have really fitted very well either, though I do like it, just doesn't match the build.

Here is a fuzzy picture of my Ambrosios.

Looks like your rims differ quite a bit from mine; raised lip and machined sidewalls. Not sure about width, I could measure today.

I haven't found much information on these rims but I do like them!
