No worries.
I thought mine was simply paint cracking around the drop out when I first spotted it.
I decided the best way to test it was to fly down 2 of the fastest, rockiest downhills on my regular ride.
It held, I was happy. It then broke when I popped a tiny jump 3 miles later!
I was a very lucky boy that day.
My old frame is still going strong after the cheap repair though. I think it's in New Zealand now!!
M737 is defo what I'd go for too. I know what you mean about prices though. It seems to have almost doubled in the past 2 years!

I've got some silver parallelogram XT V's in the loft you can have if you want them...

Aah. Was going cantis but have 9 speed cassette and chain so could go straight into build with v's.. Now another day or doubt in my mind!

The best thing about an off the peg frame- you can pick your own spec! The v brake option is a toughie, cantis are more sympathetic but v's are a lot more practical, when I had this frame built up I found the cantis lacking...
