Am I mad? Cutting down on bikes....

Right, after negotiations with the other half I've reached the point where I have to cut down on the number of bikes I have :(

(Gt zaskar team, Rocky Mountain hammer, giant anthem advance, giant scr road bike plus my yeti full Suss hidden in the attic -shhh)

Due to space I can really only keep two - the giant scr I've just built as a hybrid makes so much sense to commute on so that's in, which leaves the others...

I've never quite gelled with the ride on the zaskar even though it looks awesome, so that will go, but the hard part is the giant and the Rm...

I was set to sell the rm as it's an older bike (2006) and cosmetically it's been used, whereas the anthem is 24lbs of carbon full sussery and a dream bike - however over the week I took the rm to cornwall for a goodbye ride out and it was just so much fun, fully rigid with no thrills but it just captured the essence of mtb'ing - the anthem on the other hand is uber competent and was hard to track down, but I'm swayed to sell it as it's more a techno fest than pure fun - am I mad?

Thanks for reading my ramblings, both are quite rare bikes to find 2nd hand and want to make sure I make the right choice...

Re:

Can't you sell your other half instead?

Think about it, you'll only need a single bed which means you'll free up some space to store bikes.

Depends on your regular riding.

For short hour long blasts, the rigid, if you regularly do longer rides, the bouncer. Done.

Choose one of your 2 favourites and tuck the other in the attic. If you don't miss it then sell it.

If you need to deceive - then do it.

Haha, all members after my own heart! I have thought about beating the misses - but she pays half the mortgage :(

At the moment I'm only getting 1-2 hour forestry commission rides so the rigid ness isn't too much of an issue... May have to investigate the attic :D

Keep the ones with character and grin factor. I do, the others get moved on when something else comes along.
