Alternative Bikes of the Year 2011

Halaburts Steve Potts steelhead turned out nicely, supposedly only 12 of those ever made.

I also seem to always have something for Pace bikes, maybe because they were not obtainable in the US. Early Merlin frames are nice.

Not the finest pic, but the Great Green Beast of Mystery (replete with Turkey Twizzler mud)!

An odd choice I know, but I really like it's no-brand, no-nonsense persona. Maybe because I find modern kit (roadie especially) so bloomin' garish and brand-happy

Which is of course bollox coming from someone who raced in this kit

They shoulda been contendahs!

As ever, my irrelevant (or irreverent) views fail to represent the moral majority... :-)

Here's a pick of some personal favourites that made my grade, if not yours! Feel free to pick yours from the year's BotMs and add here... remember, like life, tis only for fun!

Thanks for the nod! 8)

Here's my choice:

uno-speedo's Manitou (Bradbury)

I know there are others, I just can't remember them all right now!

This thread should have a Specialized ugly plastic pig content health warning, disgusting looking bag of random tat.

Would you mind just describing a modern bike next time please Pedro?

Thank you.

al.

The only bikes that flaot my boat above, are the 2 Brodie's (oh, and Fignon's Super U shorts take me back to my first ever pair of lycra's
