Interesting history indeed, it's quite remarkable this dates back to 85 as I had it down for 1988 and didn't know the history behind the Ultra. I am glad I didn't get too much wrong working from just the single pic, I should have guessed other folks on the forum would have seen this one before. Whatever, it's a great bike and the added background and provenance add to the appeal, make it one of a kind.

Heres some pics of the Ritchey. There are are few scuffs, and paint touch ups, but it all looks original.
Everything moves freely, and the seat post came out ok.
It's been inside the house for 10 years, so not gotten damp etc.

So the ultimate question,........ as we are in the Whats It Worth thread, what do you think ???

The Alpinestars is a bit more worn, but seems all free moving.

In your pile of "spares" is a Cannondale Pepperoni fork. Condition isn't the finest, but that is rare enough that it's probably an item someone would want to restore
