"AlpineStars/Ritchey" - What hardtail is this?

a lot of frames had ritchey dropouts

never studied one of these frames in any detail before looks nice
not as nice as an estay or earlier but nice non the less

wouldnt mind the forks off it tho

yeah its back i contacted the guy earlier and he said he wanted £65 posted with the forks if that helps anyone get a deal

the dings scared me off
 
i just picked the frame up off the bay , very nice indeed it has an true temper ox2 sticker and the outline of old astars stickers as for the dings the one on the down tube is accessable via the bottle mount bolt holes and the chainstay ding is not too bad i will post up some pics later, cheers,

I ummd and arrhd about this one. Eventually decided to get it as I work locally and lo and behold some bugger had took it. :cry:

Ritchey rear dropouts were designed by Tom and produced by Everest in Taiwan back in the day and were available for any company to spec on their frames...similar to spec'ing a Campy or Shimano dropout on a bike. Many companies used them. I even used them on a few models I spec'd back in 94-5.
