Hello,
A quick introduction from me, I've been road/touring biking for a while with a Giant Defy 3 2009 and running random mountain bikes as generally hack (Raleigh Firefly & the mighty Viking FX Pro...). To cut a long story short I fancied getting a decent mountain bike so one Ebay session later and I have this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Alpinestars-R ... 7675.l2557 .
An Alpinestars D560 CroMega, I collected it yesterday, swapped the front tire on it to a 'good' ChenSheng or something (structurally good if not quality anyway...) today and took it for a 5 minute spin the rain. So far it seems to be a good purchase, very light, the shocks still seem to work and Deore XT pretty much all round.
I'll hopefully take and put up some pictures tomorrow, the only think that I think I may need to do is the head set stem? (headset to bar section) seems to be to long for me so I may need to find a shorter one, although I understand this probably has a strange semi threaded 1/4" headset or something, further investigation is needed!
