Alpinestars Cro-Mega LX e-stay: sale or swap (with pics now)

For sale / swap one Alpinestars Cro-Mega LX e-stay, early 1990s, 16.5" (c-t) in pearl white.

I posted this bike up a few weeks back but due to the fact the derailleur hanger was bent I didn't get much response. I have now straightened this out, the frame was heated as the drop-outs are so beefy I was worried it'd do more damage forcing it from cold. A small hairline crack in the drop-out was filled with braize at the same time. I then cleaned off the paint burnt by the heating and touched up the affected area. I'll post some close-ups of this.

The bike is pretty much how it rolled out of the factory and is original, including the tyres and brake pads :shock: The only non-original parts I can see are the gear cable inners, which I've just replaced, the grips which were shot (so I've nicked some off the wife's bike) and the saddle. I do have the original saddle, but it is not included in the sale.

The bike is almost all 500LX componentry with Ritchey wheels. The rest of the kit is Alpinestars own. The gears and brakes work well.

I'm after £125, but would be interested in swapping for other retro kit. Collection is from Twyford, just outside Reading.

Thanks! I'm going to take it out for a spin today, but I know its too small for me too.

Update: just been for a quick, 5 mile ride around the block, it rocks! I handles much like a similar vintage Kona, but feels much shorter in the top-tube. I'm well impressed by the brakes, although it was dry.... The handlebars are soooooooo wide!

Good question, I'm happy for a cash adjustment either way, but I'd like:

Deore DX chainset with rings, DX rear mech (long cage), DX seatpost in 27.2 mm size
Fox F100 / Float forks (long steerer)
new-ish but not that 'orrible shadow stuff, XT long-cage, rapid rise rear mech
Ritchey WCS intergrated carbon headset in 1 1/8
A pair of Shimano 105, 5600 series brake calipers
Someone to respray / powder-coat my old Prestige frame

Hi, I have verbally agreed a sale on this and am waiting for the buyer to come round with a big wad of notes!
