If it's a wreck that's gonna seem expensive. Looks like the original equipment isn't on it anymore. Probably going to be too big but you never know. I take a 52cm road bike.
Oddly, the 1992 catalogue shows it with 700c wheels but they look like 26" wheels in the pic - the size of the tyre gives it away. Also where are the drop bars? The stem is also wrong.
It's a mystery, thats a fact. :-/
someone's converted it somewhere down the line, form a cyclo-x (ish) bike, with the drop bars and skinny wheels/tyres to a bit of an mtb type thing.
Nice either way, and ripe for a rebuild either as a full blown mtb, or a full resto on the Alpine-X how it should be.
